Valve announced the dates for the Outlanders update

October 31, 2019

Valve announced that The Outlanders update for Dota 2 will be added to the main client after MDL Chengdu Major. The developers did not give the exact date of release of patch 7.23.

Valve:
“Our plan is similar to the previous years, where it is soon after the first Major is concluded. We tend avoid broadcasting dates explicitly though because things can shift around and we wouldn’t want the expectation to be a specific day if a little bit more time was needed.”

Earlier Valve announced that with the The Outlanders update two new heroes will be added to Dota 2 that were announced at The International 2019 - Void Spirit and Snapfire. None of other changes were announced.

MDL Chengdu Major will be held from 16 to 24 November in China. 16 teams from six regions will play a million dollars and 15,000 DPC points. The championship will feature two teams from the CIS - Gambit Esports and Team Spirit. The last slot will go to the winner of DOTA Summit 11.
