New EG roster: Ramzes666 and Abed joins the team

September 16, 2019

Evil Geniuses have announced their new roster. Two youngsters will replace EG’s veteran Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Syed Hassan and Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson.

It’s not a surprise to see Abed ‘Abed’ Yusop and Roman ‘RAMZEs’ Kushnarev in EG’s remarkable blue jersey. It has been a rumour for weeks that they’ll replace two EG players.

Abed is one of the best players from South-East Asia. The Filipino midlaner delivered world-class performances for quite some time now. His most successful time was in the dress of Fnatic. However, the team got eliminated in Round One of The International 2019 and Abed decided to leave the squad.

He replaces EG’s veteran Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Syed Hassan, who joined the team in 2015 and didn’t play for another organisation his whole career yet. It will be weird for his fans to see him in another jersey.

RAMZEs moves to another position for EG

Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson is the second player to leave Evil Geniuses. He’ll be replaced by Virtus.pro’s youngster RAMZEs, which means that he will no longer play on position 1 as a hard carry but as offlaner on position 3. The 20-year-old Russian was important for VP’s success over the last two years.

Moving to the offlane and switching to English won’t be an easy transition. We’ll see if EG’s veterans Tal ‘Fly’ Aizik, Andreas ‘Cr1t-’ Nielsen and Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev can make his life easier.
