Valve has presented its own version of Dota Auto Chess, which is called Dota Underlords. The first players to testthe game will be Battle Pass users.
One game in Dota Underlords is designed for eight people. Players will be able to play the match alone or in a team of four users. Holders of a Battle Pass will also be able to play against special bots, whose difficulty ranges from simple to super difficult. The game can be added to the Steam library.
According to Valve representatives, in a week they will launch an open beta test for everyone. Dota Underlords will be available for free to users of Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as on mobile devices based on Android and iOS. With an open beta test in Underlords, a system of ranks and matchmaking will appear, players of different platforms will be able to play with each other, and the user’s progress can be improved on all devices.
Modification of Auto Chess for Dota 2 was released in December 2018. By early May, the number of downloads of the mode exceeded 8 millions. The developers of Auto Chess also released a mobile version of the game: on May 30, it appeared on Android, and on June 6, on iOS. On June 10, Riot Games has announced an analogue of Auto Chess for League of Legends. Earlier, Valve stated that it offered the Drodo Studio to discuss cooperation, but the companies decided to work separately from each other.
