On October 10, Valve released an update for Dota 2, which reduced the number of stars in rating ranks from seven to five. Along with it, the MMR value necessary to obtain a particular rank has changed. Information about this appeared on the official website of Dota 2.
The developers reduced the number of rating points to get the first star of all ranks. Now, in order to move from the rank of Ancient to Divine, you need to reach the mark of 4,620 MMR. Previously, this indicator was 5,120 MMR. To get the latest Divine star, you need to earn 5,420 MMR instead of 5,880.
On the night of October 12, Valve announced that it could reduce the impact of the latest update, which affected the matchmaking. Previously, in addition to reducing the number of stars at the ranks, the developers also changed the group search options for games. You can read more about the changes here!
